Don't drive past this place as you'll be missing a little gem with absolutely lovely food at a reasonable price. Staff are superb and gave me one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.. oh and their coffee is hot not tepid like the other places... thank you.
I was staying at Farn Lodge which is adjacent to The Courtyard coffee shop. It is a fairly new addition to the grounds within the last couple of years. Seating indoor or outdoors. Service is outstanding and the food is very good and plenty on offer with home cakes and hot food homemade. Fully recommended.
Excellent food. Great prices. Lovely atmosphere. One of the best club sandwiches I’ve had. Went for lunch and dinner on the same day. Wish we had found it sooner. The cakes looked delicious but we were so full. Seriously recommend eating here. It’s very dog friendly too.
Only moan was that we went Sunday evening and it was closed - the menu in our room said nothing about closed Sunday evening. On the positive side we went on Monday evening and it was excellent food, quickly served, excellent quantity and very good value for money. We also met Pip - our waiter !! I don’t think either a comb or scissors had touched his hair in weeks, metal bolts in face, scruffy beard and shirt and baggy jeans that had not been introduced to an iron in quite a while . BUT what waiter - pleasant, polite , attentive, professional , massive smile, nothing too much trouble ( even changing tables so we were more comfortable ) - if he smartened himself up and headed to London he could become an outstanding maitre’d in a very short time . I wish him luck.

Food was stupendous, Service Immaculate, Atmosphere better than Wembley. Really Enjoyed my Fish Fingers and Beans Would recommend to every tourist, it is very authentic. Coffee was the best ive ever had and it was made by their best worker (you can guess who).
Found this last October and so pleased it's just as good and welcoming as last year Had breakfast brunch and dinner here. Great service plenty of vegan and gf options. Sat inside and outside. Service was amazing lovely friendly attentive staff and great food and drink options Cakes to die for and big portions. Group of four of us and two spoilt dogs with their sausage pieces. Such amazing value for quality experience. Looking forward to returning in September next year
Staying in Farne Lodge Cottages and The Courtyard is just a short stroll. Had 3 evening meals and 3 breakfasts, all excellent, friendly staff, good prices and obviously superb Chef!
